Cafcass Launch An Animated Video, ‘Taking Me Seriously: Letting You Know How We Help’

Cafcass (Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service) has collaborated with The Family Justice Young People’s Board (FJYPB) to launch an animated video called ‘Taking me seriously: letting you know how we help’.

The video shares how children involved in family court proceedings have felt, and how Cafcass social workers can help children and young people understand the court’s recommendations.

It is narrated by children and is a short, but sharply emotional, look at the perspective of how children find court proceedings. So often the voice of children is lost, and we think every family going through family change, and every professional working in the sector, should watch this video. It’s a stark reminder of what family cases are really all about.

You can watch the video here: ‘Taking me seriously: letting you know how we help’.
