Co-Founder Speaks To Tatler About Navigating The Complexities Of Blended Families

Our co-founder Samantha Woodham speaks to Tatler about navigating the complexities of blended families… Divorce is commonplace, and so are blended families, so it is great to see Tatler shining a light on the issue in their recent article, in which they spoke to several prominent family law professionals (including our co-founder Samantha) about how they help families navigate the change.

As Samantha says: ‘For many couples separation can be the start of a happier environment for their children (and for themselves). Approached in this way, the creation of a blended family can be the best thing to happen to a family: allowing the parents to develop a more constructive co-parenting relationship and focus on their children, leaving behind the adult relationship issues which haven’t worked.’

‘The key is communication. Many parents can really benefit, at the outset, from working through a parenting plan. This will cover day-to-day topics such as how they manage school pick-ups, clubs, events, homework responsibilities, holiday rotas and also how they keep each other in the loop. We like to sit down with couples together, explain the legal landscape and draw up a parenting plan so they can approach their new co-parenting and blended family landscape with confidence.’
