The Divorce Surgery Co-founders Attend A Roundtable Session At Ministry of Justice UK

Our co-founders Samantha Woodham and Harry Gates were invited by the Ministry of Justice UK to attend a roundtable session at the MOJ to explore how family disputes can be resolved earlier and away from the family court. It was great to see many familiar faces and engage in a real debate around how separating families should be better supported to reduce conflict and resolve their own family affairs without crossing the court threshold.

We believe strongly that information and choice are crucial: there are now so many options for separating couples which simply didn’t exist a decade ago (such as our own One Couple One Lawyer service). There is no panacea: the more choice families have, the better equipped they will be to shop around and shape the divorce they want.

You can read more about the consultation ‘Supporting earlier resolution of private family law arrangements’ here.
