Divorce Delays Vs. Working To Your Timetable

A recent article in The Telegraph has highlighted that separating couples are facing delays of up to 18 months due to the backlog in the Family Courts caused by the impact of Covid-19. If you are separating, or know someone who is, please don’t be alarmed by the dramatic headline.

The reality is that the majority of separating couples do not, fortunately, need a Court hearing to resolve their divorce. Most work together with legal expertise to reach an amicable solution, which they can then send in to be approved by a Judge, and requires no Court hearings at all.

Our process, for instance, takes 6-8 weeks for a fixed cost. We work to your timetable, not the Family Court’s.
