Family Justice Young People’s Board

The Family Justice Young People’s Board (FJYPB) is a group of over 50 children and young people aged between 7 and 25 years old who live across England and Wales. All have either had direct experience of the family justice system or have an interest in children’s rights and the family courts.

Their overall aim is to support the work of the Family Justice Board which is to deliver improvements to the family justice system so that it provides the best results for children who come into contact with it. In particular, to ensure the focus is child-centred and child-inclusive.

If you are not aware of the FJYPB do look at their resources online. They have a number of Top Tips for professionals, separated parents and a list of Top Tips written by children and young people on how to separate without conflict and how to put their needs first.

Our co-founders Harry and Samantha heard two of their members speak at the APPG for Supporting Couples session last week. They were extremely impressive and their experiences deeply moving. If you don’t know about the FJYPB, please do have a look.
