The Family Court In Lockdown – Video Podcast

As we slowly emerge from lockdown, careful lessons need to be learned. From the perspective of Family Justice, Covid-19 heralded huge changes in the ways the courts operated and a rapid acceleration in the use of remote technology for court hearings.

Gresham College hosted a lecture on this very topic with a stellar panel: Emeritus Professor of Law at Gresham College, Jo Delahunty QC, Chairman of the Family Law Bar Association Cyrus Larizadeh QC, barrister and member of the transparency project Lucy Reed and journalist Louise Tickle, who has been at the forefront of many cases which seek to open up Family Justice to public scrutiny.

The video podcast looks not only at how the family court has adapted but also how the legal profession is coping. It is a fascinating discussion and well worth a watch.
